The Church of Shën Thanas is located in the village of Lukovë, 22 m away from the sports field and 223 m away from the national road.

It celebrates every September 18th "Thanas Day" for all believers who bear this name.

Athanasius I of Alexandria (296-292 – 2 May 373), otherwise called Athanasius I the Great, was a "father" of the Greek church and the 20th Pope of Alexandria.

His episcopate lasted 45 years. He was a Christian theologian, church founder, defender of Trinitarianism against Arianism, and a leader of Christianity in the Aegean during the fourth century.
