Reivews 0

Konispoli lies in a valley 400 m above sea level, at the southernmost tip of Albania. Konispol is bordered to the north by Shalesi and Saraqindi mountain, to the south by Lopësi (Chameria village), to the east by Vërva and Dishat and to the west by Shkalla and Çiflik.

Konispoli has about 3,500 inhabitants, who speak the Cham dialect. Its name is derived from kon'c and polya, Slavic words, which refer to the end of a field. The area was part of the ancient region of Epirus and was inhabited by the Kaons. In 1992, 7 caves were discovered north of the city dating from the late Paleolithic to the Iron Age.

A large part of the population, in addition to emigration, thanks to the geographical position, deals with agriculture, fruit growing and livestock. One of the tourist attractions in the city is the tourist point of Buari, located on a hill covered with pine trees and bushes.

Also, the border point of the customs of Qafë Bota remains a gate of the city, which welcomes not only immigrants from Greece but also tourists, with the desire to get to know this small country, with many archaeological objects and historical monuments.
