The Jewish Street, Vlora

The Jewish Street is a cultural heritage monument located in the city of Vlora. This monument was declared a cultural monument in September 2006. Its typology is a settlement and construction of the XIX century. In September 2006, this structure was officially recognized as a significant cultural artifact. This is a classification of a 19th century dwelling and building style.

A cohesive group of Jewish people resided within the urban center of Vlora. Located in close proximity to the city center, this road spans a distance of 46 meters while measuring 4.5 meters in width. The street is lined with distinctive houses that are two or three stories tall and date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. The dominant architectural style  is pseudo-eclectic, which is the result of multiple interventions over time. The community was situated in a group of buildings that comprised twenty apartments. The path was constructed using rocks, measuring 46 meters in length and having a width of 4.5 meters. There are two-story buildings with a linear style housing a total of nine apartments on the left side of the street. A 3-storey building, constructed during the Second World War, contains eleven apartments on its right side. The ground level was designated for business operations while the upper level served as a residential area.

The origins of this friendship date back several centuries and are estimated to span almost six centuries. Vlora citizens still hold dear memories of the admirable residents who integrated into the city's daily happenings until the early 1990s, evidencing the persistent influence of this history in their recollections.
