World Headquarters of the Bektashi is located on the eastern edge of the city, on Dhimitër Kamarda street, Tirana. The capital is the international headquarters of the Bektashi Order. The headquarters also has a museum, library and archive. In Haxibektash, Turkey, was the international headquarters of the Bektashi Order, which was known as the house of Piri. In 1925 Ataturk's ban on all dervish orders caused the exodus of the Bektashi Order to Albania and the complex was closed for religious use.
As a result, the administrative headquarters of the Bektashi Order was moved to the World Headquarters of the Bektashi in Tirana, Albania in 1930. The First Grandfather of the Bektashi Order, the Albanian Sali Njazi founded the World Headquarters of the Bektashi Movement, the Patriarchate in Tirana. The construction of the headquarters was completed in 1941, during the Italian occupation of Albania.
Then in 1967 was the worst period for all religious faiths, which also brought their closure. With the fall of communism, on March 22, 1991, on Sultan Nevruz Day, the Bektashi World Headquarters was reopened in Tirana. Today, the graves of some of the grandfathers, including Kamber Ali, Abaz Hilmiu and Ahmet Myftari, are located in Kryegyshata.
The Bektashian Museum is located in the premises of the Odeon, in the Great Shrine, in the World Bektashian Archdiocese, which was inaugurated in September 2015 together with the Odeon. The earliest document that heads the archive dates back to 1847. There are many historical documents in different languages such as: Albanian, Arabic, Ottoman Turkish, English, French and Italian. There are also collections such as: photographs, microfilms, audio tapes where rare recordings of Bektashi musical traditions are preserved.
The museum is organized in 12 stands and 12 showcases, thus respecting the 12 Imams. Part of the Bektashian Museum are also the three premises such as: Chimney Coffee, Ashurja and Pilgrimage. The Bektashi World Grandmother makes a very important contribution dedicated to religious tolerance and harmony.
