The prehistoric settlement is located in the village of Lin, on the western shores of Lake Ohrid, 20 km from the city of Pogradec. This 7,500-year-old "stilt" settlement in Lin is an impressive archaeological discovery. It is thought that this unearthed settlement dates back to 7,500 years ago.
Other impressive archaeological discoveries shed light on the early settlements in the Albanian territories, the area of the prehistoric settlement is thought to be around 35,000 m².
Wooden elements were also discovered, testifying to the way of construction and architecture, such as: flint tools, various ceramic vessels, fragments of animal bones, and sedimentological samples were taken for laboratory analysis. This tourist village continues to be visited in every season of the year by many foreign and local tourists.
