The Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, Tirana

The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral is located in the southwestern part of the Center of Tirana. It is an Albanian Orthodox cathedral, the third largest in the Balkans. Its construction was completed in 2012 and it was officially opened in June 2012. The Cathedral complex includes the following structures: the Cathedral, the Church of the Nativity of Jesus, the Bell, the Standing of the Holy Synod, the Cultural Center, a library, two other domes and a small museum. The dome of the Cathedral is 32.2 m high, while the bell tower reaches 46 m. The cathedral remains a tourist attraction and is visited not only by Orthodox believers.
