The house museum of the painter Vangjush Mio has been declared a cultural monument. It contains about 40 oil paintings, landscapes, still lifes and many drawings which are remarkable for their very special style.
The museum house is a center created in 1945 and renovated in 1995. It is an important part of the city of Korça, where various cultural and artistic activities take place: such as lyrical concerts, painting exhibitions, photography, etc.
Vangjush Mio stands out as an Albanian landscape painter, we mention here: Winter in Korçë, Aspects from Drenova, Boboshtica, Vithkuqi, Self-Portrait, Gypsy, Bagpipe Man etc.
He is the first Albanian painter, who opened the first exhibition in Tirana in 1920, while in 1942 he opened the exhibition in Bari.
