Reivews 0

The Queen Geraldine Park in Burrel is a natural and cultural treasure declared by the Queen of the Albanians, Geraldine Zogu, in 1935, as a gift to the city of Mati, the birthplace of King Ahmet Zogu. This green oasis lies in the northern part of the city and carries a rich variety of rare trees from tropical countries and beyond, making it one of the most unique parks in Albania and the Balkans.

The unique composition of the park is reflected in the diverse changes of trees, including species such as Gray Juniper, Cedrus, Sofratika, Japanese Croptomer, and many others. Although some of the rare plants were transferred to the artificial lake park in Tirana, there is still a significant amount of rare tropical trees in the Queen Geraldine Park.

The park serves as an oasis of calm and freshness, and especially in the summer season, it becomes the favorite center of thousands of citizens who want to enjoy the beauty and harmony of nature.

With its amazing scenery and a rich combination of greenery and biodiversity, Queen Geraldine Park is becoming not only a tourist attraction, but also an important space for the health and enjoyment of city residents and visitors from all over. For the restoration and protection of this rare park, this place has the potential to become a positive model for the development of sustainable tourism and the preservation of the environment in Albania.
