The Ethnographic Museum in Berat, which was inaugurated in 1979, is a cultural institution that includes and presents the ethnographic folk culture of the Berat region, as well as that of Southern Albania. Housed in a three-century-old two-story building, typical of the Berata region, the museum offers a rich and detailed experience of the ordinary life and traditions of this area.

The first floor of the museum has a special hall, where a medieval alley is imitated. Around this alley, traditional shops are located on both sides of it, presenting the crafts and trade of the Middle Ages in Berat. In this hall there is also the pavilion of antiquity, where old objects, which served in the daily life of the inhabitants of this area, are exhibited.

The rest of this floor is dedicated to olive processing, with the exhibition of traditional objects used for this purpose. This segment provides a detailed overview of olive processing techniques, including traditional tools and equipment.

The second floor of the museum is dedicated to the social part of the life of these three. The open gazebo is a space where residents received friends and where social events took place. This floor also houses the village facilities, including the archive, the loom, the waiting room.

In the exterior of the museum, original, massive and functional objects of our popular culture have been placed, adding value and authenticity to the visitors' experience. This museum is an important window into the culture and heritage of the Berat region and all of South Albania.
