The Clock Tower in Elbasan, constructed in 1899, stands as a significant cultural monument with a rich history. It played a vital role in the city's urban landscape, dating back to the 17th century.

With a square floor plan measuring 4.05 x 4.09 meters and a height of 19.5 meters, the tower boasts a unique architectural design. Its fortification includes a rock ridge and a north-south extension circle, reflecting influences from the Illyrian proto-urban phase.

Constructed with limestone at the base and brick at the top, the tower features stone-carved details and symbols on its southern gate. Visitors ascend via a wooden staircase, immersing themselves in its authentic historical ambiance.

Originally housing a church bell, the tower's engraving above the southern gate denotes its construction year. Though its bell once resonated across a 5-6 km radius, it was replaced during the Balkan Wars by the Serbian army.

Despite alterations, the Clock Tower remains a symbol of Elbasan's heritage, embodying the community's creativity and resilience in preserving cultural landmarks.
