Kroi i Bardhë, whose source is located between Didha and Kunora mountains, is known for its curative values. In this natural center, the waters of Kroi Bardhë have shown the ability to influence the healing of several diseases, including those of the larynx, stomach, kidneys, and thyroid.

Kroi i Bardhë has been a favorite destination for visitors and vacationers for more than 25 years, despite the lack of infrastructure and suitable conditions. In addition to curative values, this place offers an attractive touristic and ecological environment in the area of Selita.

The source is located at the declared height of 1350 meters above sea level and has an impressive flow of 18 liters per minute. The water temperature is between 3-4°C. The water passes through ultrabasic rocks, benefiting from rich mineralization that has positive effects on the human body.

Mount Kunora, with a height of 2121 meters, serves as a special natural background for this area. It lies as the border between Lura (Dibra) and Mirdita. On the south-western side of the mountain, in the territory of Mirdita, there is a source of curative water named Kroi i Bardhë. This source is a natural treasure, having curative values related to its chemical composition and deep rocky origin.

The history of this country shows that since a thousand years ago, the areas around Kroi Bardhë have been regular settlements. The names of toponyms such as Livadhi i Prifti and Prroi i Shehu tell this story. However, due to difficult natural conditions, people have moved from there. At the beginning of the first decade of the last century, a well-known group of visitors from Italy, Austria, and other countries stayed near the springs of Kunora mountain for curative purposes.

Chemical analyzes show that the water has a high pH, around 9.5, making it considered a basic water with corrosive properties.

The use of water from Kroi i Bardhë has shown healthy effects on the human body. Chemical and physical evaluation of the resource included a low content of Ca and Mg salts, but a high content of carbonates and bicarbonates. In this way, the source has curative value for diseases such as pyelonephritis, nephritis, and dissolution of kidney stones.

This special place is accessible from Rrësheni by a road that goes up to 200 meters from Croi i Bardhë, however, the journey at the end of this distance is challenging and mountainous. The mountains and the beautiful landscape make this destination an unusual and attractive tourist spot. The lack of infrastructure has made many people talk about the need for investment and development of this rare potential tourist area in Albania.
