The Church of Shen Shtjefni in Blinisht has a rich history, serving as a religious and cultural hub. Initially built by the Blinishti feudal family, it was completed by Queen Helena D'Anjou in 1292. Restored and adorned with frescoes in 1447-1448, it was rebuilt after being looted twice during Ottoman rule. In the 16th century, it came under the jurisdiction of the Holy See, fostering agriculture in the region.
A tragedy in the 19th century led to the construction of a new church on higher ground, ensuring safety. Despite changes, it remains a symbol of faith and heritage in the area.
