Shen Kolli Church, Kurjan

The Church of Shen Kolli in Kurjan, built in the 13th century, is an important cultural resource in Albania. It is a special combination of Byzantine architecture and medieval art. It is situated in a special spot on the hill, with a structure constructed with red walls and red stones in the corners.

The church has changed throughout time, losing its original dome and various porticoes. It houses the iconographic painter Nikola's frescoes from 1578. This church has a close link to the Saint Nicholas cult.
