The Church of Saint Athanasius is located on the dominant hill of Sopik, in Finiq. The church is thought to have been built in the 17th century, on the foundations of an old temple.
This beautiful church is elevated with the dome in its center and on the north side, with a portico. The roof of the church is built of stone and the narthex is made of wood. The church is open for all the religious rites that the villagers perform.
