Ristoz Church is located at the foot of the Morava mountain, southeast of Korça. The church is a monument of cultural heritage in Mborje, of the "Architecture" type, approved in March 1948 and September 1971. Its typology is a church of the post-Byzantine period, built around 1389, in the XIV century.

The church is dedicated to Saint Mary. It is one of the cult objects that was built earlier in the Balkans. About the time of its construction: It is thought that this church was built in 896 by Saint Clement, while another version speaks of the half of the XIV century.

The church was built in the territory of the Principality of Muzakai, in those centuries. The feudal class ruled the country's economy and political-social life. In the years 1389-1390, the one who financed its construction was Bishop Nimfoni. It is part of the group of churches with a cross, with the nave having a quadrilateral layout, with a nave and a dome. Its highest height is 7.5 m.

The church underwent a maintenance work in 2015, in order not to risk collapse. It is known as a holy place that helps people. On the day that Christ completes 40 days from the resurrection, this holy place is visited by thousands of Orthodox believers.
