The Church of Shën Kolli is located in the village of Pilur, very close to the main road. About 1.8 km away from it, there is also the Monastery of Athaliotisa.
This church is dedicated to Shën Nikolla who was known as Nikolla of Bari during the "Roman Empire" period. The early Christian bishop was of Greek origin. He remains one of the most beloved saints of Christians both in the East and in the West.
The churches dedicated to Shën Nikolla are countless. Many places and believers have taken his name such as: Nikola, Nikolaus, Klaus, Niko, Nikolin, Nikolina, Koli, etc. Many hymns and church services have been written in his memory.
The saint is mentioned in every "Divine Liturgy" and is commemorated by the Orthodox Church as well as the Roman Catholic Church every December 6th.
