Pashko Vasa Edifice, Shkodër

The edifice where Pashko Vasa was born is a characteristic Shkodran house. It was the main base of the League of Prizren and has a glorious 300-year history. The edifice has been completely renovated and restored, first in 1977 and then in 2013 by the Albanian state. All doors, floors, windows, and the wooden ceiling are worked on by professional restorers without losing their originality and antiquity.

The edifice is surrounded by the characteristic high walls of Shkodra, and in its courtyard, one can still find: the stone well, the stone basin for washing clothes, stone troughs for laundry, and stone-paved stairs. Today, it is a first-category house and has been returned as a private heritage property to the Vasa family since 1971.

In some rooms of the house, the Vasa family has fulfilled the normal living conditions where one can comfortably sleep and reminisce about times gone by. Today, the edifice is a tourist spot preferred by both local and foreign tourists, not only for its unique architecture but also for spending the night."
