The pyramid is located on the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, in one of the most nerve-racking points of the city of Tirana. The pyramid was built in the years 1986 - 1988, serving as a museum of the legacy of the dictator E. Hoxha until 1991. This structure was designed as eagle wings, a symbol of the nation itself, but visible as such only from above. While from the point of view of the passerby it resembles a pyramid. After 1991, the pyramid was transformed into an International Cultural Center, where many exhibitions, conferences and national and international fairs were held.
The pyramid is a symbol of the transition period. Initially it served as a dictator's museum, later it was turned into a space for free activities and now it has entered the path of economic and social development.
It has become the largest center for young people, mainly focused on digital education, information technology culture and in function of art, culture and professional courses or other youth spaces. While today it has transformed into the largest technological center of the region for young people, mainly focused on digital education, on the culture of information technology and in the function of art, culture and professional courses or other youth spaces.
