House of Sali Shijaku, Tirana

House of Sali Shijaku is located on Vildan Luarasi Street, Tirana. The villa was built in the first half of the XIX century and is a typical example of a Tirana apartment. The house of Shijakas was declared a cultural monument in 1973.

• In the first phase, it was with a gazebo and a porch on the main front and with a regular quadrilateral layout with two floors. Auxiliary premises are located on the first floor, living rooms and service annexes on the second floor. The stairs connecting the floors are made of wood.

• In the second phase, at the beginning of the 20th century, the premises were reconstructed and the gazebo was closed.

The entire residence is surrounded by adobe walls, where the entrance is through large two-story gates. While its main room remains to be visited by lovers of the art of painting, in which the works of the painter Sali Shijaku are exhibited.
