Frashëri Brothers Memorial

The Frashëri Brothers Memorial is located in the Great Park of Tirana near the Artificial Lake. The memorial honors three outstanding Renaissance men Abdyl, Naim and Sami Frashëri. The Frashëri brothers constitute the special trinomial of Albanian history, culture and literature. The contribution that these three figures have given to the nation of the Motherland is undoubtedly the most valuable and important contribution of the time of the Albanian National Renaissance, at the end of the XIX century. Abdyli was the leader of the League of Prizren, Sami was an ardent propagandist for an independent Albanian Republic, while Naimi was the first great poet of the Albanian language. The memorial was inaugurated in 1978 and is accompanied by a sculptural group with the portraits of the three brothers, made by Odise Paskali with co-author Thoma Thomain.
