Air Albania Stadium, Tirana

The Arena National Stadium is located near the center of Tirana. Known as Air Albania Stadium, a football stadium designed for multiple purposes. The stadium was built on the land of the former Qemal Stafa stadium.

The architecture was designed by the Italian architecture studio, led by Marco Casamonti. Its construction began in September 2016. The structure of the stadium is a special octagonal polygonal shape, so that each side allows access to the other separate parts. The new stadium has a capacity of 22,500 seats, making it the largest stadium in Albania.

In one corner of the stadium structure is a 112 m tall tower with 24 floors, which is currently the tallest tower. The project includes a history museum, changing rooms and other facilities such as: cafeterias, toilets, including disabled access, a press area, a convention center, a trophy room and 256 underground parking spaces.

All the facilities of the stadium are hidden behind armor in the national colors of Albania, "Red and Black". The first official match at Air Albania Stadium was played between the national team of Albania and that of France as part of the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
