Saint Friday Church is located two kilometers from the city center, on top of a hill to its east. The church is a monument of cultural heritage in Çetë, Kavaja. This monument is of the type "Architecture", approved in June 1973, built in the XIII century. In the beginning, it was a Catholic church with Roman-Gothic architecture, while later around 1691, it was turned into an Orthodox church. Inside the church, on all four surrounding walls, icons are painted with biblical messages from the famous Zografi brothers from Korca. The church consisted of 16 icons belonging to Kostandin Shpatarak, from the altar, narthex and nave. The floor has a sun figure in the shape of a circle, as the cult of the sun is pre-Christian. According to the historian Rifat Hoxha: the iconostasis of Kostandin Shpataraku, which once shared the part of the altar with the nave, one of the greatest artistic values disappeared from the church years ago. The church, declared a cultural monument in 1963, almost defied the decision of 1967, when it was decided by the unifying system of communism to destroy all objects of religious worship. The object has been fanatically preserved for seven centuries by the local residents themselves, who, although they were of the Muslim faith, strongly opposed the destruction of the church. The old church of Saint Premtes is located among the large crowns of olive trees in the hills of Ceta and remains a destination not only religious but also historical and touristic. The inhabitants of the city come three days after Easter to celebrate, organizing in the form of a massive outdoor picnic and to congratulate each other in complete harmony regardless of religious belief.
