Zall-Bastar village, Tirana

The village of Zall-Bastar is located in the north-eastern part, about 18 km from the capital of Tirana. The total area is over 132 km² and the population reaches 5359 inhabitants. In the total area, 785 ha are agricultural land and 4500 ha are forests and pastures.
Zall-Bastari is an old settlement, mentioned since the 6th century. It is a rugged mountainous area and consists of 12 villages. On the sides of the hills up to the mountains, there are numerous slopes, where the villages and their neighborhoods can be distinguished. Also as a cultural monument there is also a characteristic dwelling that dates back to the century. XIX.
The economic activity of the inhabitants is based on livestock, agriculture, horticulture and trade. Its main direction is the production of bread grains, horticulture and breeding of fine cattle. Zall-Bastari is a beautiful village, with its hilly-mountainous territory offering picturesque views, clean air and remains an attractive destination to visit during the weekend, located very close to the capital.
