Reivews 0

Kollorca Bridge is located 4 km south of Gjirokastra. It is the grandest bridge of Dropulli, with a length of 103 m and crosses the Drino river with five arches. The bridge is a monument of cultural heritage, type "Architecture", approved in June 1973. Its typology is a bridge, with stone arches.

The bridge is 3.70 m wide and approximately 7 m above the water level. The arches rest on four similar piers, and above each is a complementary gate. The gates have a curved arch, which allows the free passage of water during the spring flood. The arches are circular and pointed, with a width of 9-11 m. Almost the entire bridge is built of small gray limestone blocks.

The construction interlaced with the style of oriental Ottoman architecture, the wonderful decorative arches and the full cobblestone paving give it great historical and architectural values. The bridge remains functional for pedestrians and vehicles.
