Reivews 0

The Blue Eye stands as Theth's most popular natural attraction, situated in the village of Kaprre, roughly 7 km from the heart of Thethi village Part of Thethi National Park, the Blue Eye of Kaprre is a well, known as the Black Well, spanning approximately 100 m2 with a depth of 4-5 meters. Formed by the flow of the Black River from upper Kaprrea, this well, nestled amidst rocky and verdant slopes, displays hues of blue and emerald depending on the season, offering a captivating spectacle for visitors. The Black River originates from Maja e Zeze and is primarily fed by melting snow, joining the Shala River in Nderlysa before flowing into the Drin River/Komani Lake.

To access this destination, visitors can opt for a total walking route (3.5 hours one way) or combine a transfer with walking, including a 20-minute transfer and 40 minutes of easy to moderate walking. The initial 5 km from Thethi to Nderlysa follows a rural off-road path along the Theth River and Shala River. From Nderlysa, the walk to the Blue Eye takes 40 minutes, with the first half being more challenging, followed by an easier stroll through the beech forest, culminating in the stunning sight of the Blue Eye.

Although the signs along the path may be worn, the route from Nderlysa is well-defined, ensuring travelers don't lose their way. Simply cross the bridge in Nderlysa and follow the road to Kaprre, where visitors will be greeted by the breathtaking views created by the river's erosion, including the pink baths and waterfalls known as the Stone Groves in Nderlysa.
