Peza Village, Tirana

The village of Peza is located about 12 km from the center of the capital. In the center of the village is the museum, where there are a lot of documents and photographs that talk about the history of LANÇ. This museum is open round the clock and offers historical facts that have been preserved over the decades. During the visit to Peza, the tombstone and the old house of Myslim Peza remain to be seen. The tombstone testifies to the conference held in 1942, with engraved letters that tell in a few lines the history and the house of Myslim Peza, which gives this village a historical and touristic importance at the same time. In Peza there is also the cemetery of Martyrs, with the Monument "Glory to the Heroic Martyrs of Peza"
realized in 1977.
• The population of this area has constantly raised its head against the rule of the Byzantine Empire, this is also shown by its participation in the uprising of 1336 and the one of 1432 led by Andrea Topia.
• They also participated in the wars against the Ottoman invaders under the leadership of Skenderbeu.
• Due to the contribution of the region of Peza, the World Union of Martyr and Peace Regions of the Second World War has elected it a full member and the area of Peza has been declared a "Martyr Area". The whole area has a wonderful nature and its inhabitants are noted for their hospitable and generous traditions. They deal more with agriculture, livestock, olive cultivation, viticulture and greenhouses
vegetables. Another attraction for the development of tourism in this area is fishing, where many fishing enthusiasts have the opportunity to catch fish in the two reservoirs in the area, in which they are cultivated different types of fish. It has now become a tradition that every September 16 in Peza, the historic day of the Conference of Peza as an annual activity. On this day, a series of activities are organized such as: culinary fair with traditional dishes, children's games, circus performances, live music, DJ, etc., with a participation of all age groups. The village of Peza remains to be visited for the ancient castle, historical monuments, traditional architecture, natural monuments, lakes. It is also a miracle of nature with large spaces where on weekends it is populated by families who organize picnics and it is so pleasant mainly for children who play happily, freely, in the green spaces.
