Petrelë Village, Tirana

Petrela is located 12 km to the southeast of the capital, Tirana. Petrela borders Dajti to the east, Bërzhita to the south, Baldushka to the west and Farka to the north. Its villages lie on both sides of the scenic valley of Erzen.
Petrela area is characterized by nature, with a typical Mediterranean climate. This area has a rich biodiversity: with plains, hills and valleys. One of the most visited attractions is Petrela Castle, with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Also in Petrelë there are also: Bride's Tomb, the ancient settlement of Përxqop and the Petrelë Tombstone.
There are many vacationers who prefer to sunbathe and cool off in the waters of the Erzen River during the summer, where there are also other water activities. Petrela remains to be visited for its wonderful nature, for the history of its castle, for the tourist resorts that are located along the river, where on weekends they are full of local tourists and not only.
