Rajca Lakes

The Rajca Lakes stand as a natural marvel in Albania, boasting an enchanting alpine landscape rich in scientific and cultural significance. Nestled on the eastern slope of Shebenik mountain near the village of Rajca in Librazhdi, these four lakes sit at an altitude of approximately 2200 meters above sea level. Formed within a vast glacial cirque, each lake is distinguished by morainic deposits, lending them a unique character.

Measuring around 100-200 meters in length and 80-100 meters in width, with varying depths, the lakes offer crystal-clear waters that sometimes freeze over in winter, creating a captivating spectacle.
