Reivews 0

Jezerce lakes are located on the northern side of the mountain of the same name, Jezerce, with about 20 ha. The glacial cirque of the Jezerca block is located in a small valley, surrounded by high peaks, which starts in Jezerca and ends in Vuthaj and further down in Guci (Black Mountain) where it joins the Vermoshi river.

There are 6 lakes here, where the largest and deepest of them is 'Buni i Jezercë', which is the lake that lies at the highest altitude, about 1794 m. While the lake located lower as an altitude above sea level, is found at the quota of 1765 m.

The regime of these lakes is typical alpine, with crystal clear water, where during the winter season they all freeze. Some of the lakes are 3-4 m deep, while others are quite shallow. Despite the fact that they are located on limestone formations, they hold water for a long period even in the summer season. Also the living world is very diverse.

Jezerce Lakes remains one of the most attractive destinations of the Albanian Alps, with a stunning, natural and touristic beauty, with numerous karst and glacial forms, with an almost mystical beauty, a gem with unique values for Albania and even in the world.
