Peace Island is located in Lake Koman, beyond the territorial border of Fushë-Arrëz. Peace Island is one of the main tourist attractions of the lake. The island is 160 meters long and has an area of 0.18 ha (0.44 hectares). According to local folklore, this was a place where blood feuds between rival families were said to have been settled.
On May 19, 2007, the island was baptized with its current name at the request of His Excellency Monsignor Lucjan Avgustini, during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the placement of the statue of "Our Lady of Lourdes" (Albanian: Our Lady of Lourdes) inside the cave of Kauri .
