The Good Cave is located in the village of Besh-Livadh, in Tirana. Otherwise, it is known as the Shgjergji Cave. It is located on the mountain of Brrar in the north-eastern part of it.
The cave is positioned at a considerable height from Besh-Livadh village. It is a cave with a depth of over 150 m and a height that varies from 2 to 10 m. The cave has stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and sizes. Several species of bats grow in it.
•According to legends: the cave served as a pagan place where rituals are performed. It is called "good" because the water that drips into it has healing and magical powers.
•Also at the beginning of the cave, containers are placed, which are filled with water dripping from above. The collected water is used by people, who go to heal from illness or the "evil eye"... On Saint George's Day on June 6, residents of the surrounding area go and spend a night in the cave and make sacrifices and bake meat on fire. The cave remains to be visited as a very good place for lovers of mountain climbing.
