Bushati is located in Zadrima, in the northwest of Albania, near the city of Shkodra. The village is located in the coastal area of the river Drin. To the east of Bushati, the river finds its way between two hills where one of them as the highest is called Zefjana hill, with a height of 249 m above sea level. Bushati is an administrative unit of Vau i Dejes, with a population of 24,200 inhabitants. The archaeological site of an ancient Illyrian city is located in the plain of Zadrima, north of today's village of Bushati.

• The economy of the village has changed over time. Traditionally the area is focused on agriculture and land cultivation.
