Boboshtice Village, Korce

Boboshtica village is located about 7 km from the city of Korça. During the time of the Romans, the beautiful field of Boboshtica served as a camping ground for their armies. Boboshtica is also the birthplace of the great writer Viktor Eftimi. Intervention has been carried out in the restoration of cultural monuments and the remodeling of its center. As a result of emigration, even Boboshtica has been left with a small number of inhabitants, once before the 1990s there were around 1400-1500 inhabitants.

•In Boboshtica you can also visit the early churches such as: the church of Saint Mary, the church of Saint John the Baptist and Saint Dhimtri.

• Boboshtica stands out for its wonderful nature with: clean air, diverse vegetation with bushes, centuries-old fruit trees, oak and conifers, as well as many medicinal plants.

• Competitive potential in products such as: mulberry brandy (with healthy values, tradition also favored by the presence of mulberry trees, unique in Albania).

• Varied cuisine with traditional meat and pastry dishes such as: two-layered cabbage baked in saç, various liko, etc.

The wonderful nature, the celebrations and the traditional production of mulberry brandy enable a rich offer of agro-tourism interest. The village has many centuries-old trees, manna and brandy from this wonderful fruit, a tradition that has been preserved for years by local residents. There is also no lack of restaurants, very high-quality taverns, with fresh and traditional dishes. Boboshtica remains to be visited for its wonderful nature in every season of the year, where the village takes on a special beauty.
