Reivews 0

Gramë Bay is located on the Karaburun Peninsula, otherwise known as Grammata Bay. It lies in the radius of the western slope, very close to Orikum (in Pashaliman).

During antiquity Gramë Bay served as a place of refuge for ships that were in difficulty along this dangerous coast. Gramë Bay during antiquity served as a place of refuge for ships that were in difficulty along this dangerous coast. There are more than 1,500 rock inscriptions linking Gramë to BC, dating from at least (3rd century BC - late 19th century). Very important names are mentioned in these inscriptions, such as that of the Byzantine Emperor John V Palaeologus.

Gramë Bay has also served as an area for the exploitation of local stone, in the large quarries whose traces are still visible today on both slopes.

The only shortest way to get to the bay is by sea, while for the adventurous walking adventurer, there are land routes of a certain level of difficulty. Numerous expeditions have tried the journey on foot through the forests of Llogora Park, towards the cliffs of Karaburun that descend knife-edge over the sea.

The sea enters between the rocky massifs, creating a fantastic beach to relax. Each visitor has hundreds of meters of beach and sunbathing space available.
