Dukgjon Cave

The Dukgjon Cave, situated on the southern side of the Karaburun Peninsula near Petrune, stands as a natural marvel at 400 meters above sea level. Protected within the Karaburun Monumental Natural Reserve and designated as a "Category III Natural Monument," it draws visitors to Orikum with its unique formations and status as a key tourist destination.

Formed through karstic processes in limestone terrain, the cave boasts diverse and unusual formations like columns, kalema, and anthropomorphic figures. Its various halls and floors offer mesmerizing views enriched with stalactites and stalagmites, formed over time by mineral deposits from water seepage.

A small spring within the cave sustains its biodiversity year-round, enhancing its value as a special natural environment.
