General's Beach, Kavaje

Gjeneral Beach is located in the village of Bardhor, Kavaja. According to legend, this beach is named after the Italian general: who during the Second World War when Italy invaded Albania, had come to Albania around the 40s. More than seventy years have passed since then, but even today, this bay continues to be called the General's Beach, due to the frequenting of the military over the years, until the war ended.

It is a wonderful bay about 400 m wide, with a deep blue sea. The beach is surrounded by rocky headlands that are conglomeratic and have filled the shore with small colorful objects that form an amazing mosaic. The aquatic world is rich with fish of different types and a special species of sea turtle, which has chosen this small beach to breed its species.

General Beach is the most beautiful and attractive part of the whole Kavaja Riviera. Right next to it, on the ridge of the hills, there is a small tourist complex. Everything built there is done respecting nature, using only wooden structures, from small villas, apartments to restaurant verandas that offer seafood cuisine and fresh fish to the many vacationers.
