Shën Mëri Church Vuno, Himarë.

Shën Mërisë Mesodh Church is located in the southern part of Vuno village on the national road, which connects Vlora with Himara, and is one of the oldest churches on the Ionian coast.

The Church of Shën Mëri Mesodhsi is a monument of cultural heritage, on which we still do not have an exact data about the date of its construction, but the researchers are still preparing an analysis on the technical and historical documentation to prove the year and determine the values of this church.

Vuno is a village with numerous historical, monumental and artistic values that must be explored. This is proven by the Shën Mëri Mesodhsi Church, all the houses built in a special characteristic style with stones, and the cobblestones that connect the houses to the center of the village.

A church restoration document in 1782 makes us believe that it belongs to the 18th century or even earlier. The frescoes on the walls of this church, although damaged over the years, show the vibrancy and originality of the colors, which gives this church a lot of value.
