Llogara National Park is one of the most important natural spots in the south of Albania. It is located 40 km southeast of the city of Vlora, on the border between the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea. The park with an area of 10.1 square kilometers has an amazing flora.

There are different types of trees such as deciduous and coniferous. Among them we mention Bosnian pine, black pine, Bulgarian fir, silver fir, frashrit, kermes oak and other species. Regarding Fauna some of the species with the highest conservation value are: griffon vulture, golden eagle, rock partridge, fallow deer, roe deer, European wild cat, wild goat, red squirrel, otter, wolf and the red fox.

This Park is one of the most visited natural spaces in Albania throughout the year, but mostly during the summer season. It is of great touristic importance, and serves as a fairly cool crossing on the way to the successive beaches of the Ionian coast. The park has an altitude that goes from 470m to 2044m (Maja e Çika) above sea level.

Near Llogara Pass we often come across trees with very interesting crown shapes. A stunning example of these forms is theFalmurPine (pinus nigra), an over 100-year-old pine found at an altitude of 910m above sea level, which strong winds have bent into the shape of a waving flag. Falmur Pine was declared a Natural Monument years ago. It stands almost in the middle of the LLogara Pass, the top of which is called by the locals with the same name and reaches a height of 1027m above sea level.

The combined mountain and sea climate that this place offers are very curative and is recommended by folk medicine for people with lung problems.

The park shows a great potential for the development of eco-tourism, sports, hiking in particular, air sports or various excursions for enthusiasts. For visitors in general, this park offers accommodation options in hotels of different portfolios and also traditional restaurants along the road, which offer a wonderful local cuisine based mainly on the meat by-products of the area.

For every foreign and local visitor, this park is one of the main travel destinations in the Albanian territory.
