The village of Kuç is located 60 kilometers from Saranda and 62 kilometers from Vlora in the southwest of the Kurveles province. Kuçi has an area of 180 km² and a height of about 620 m above sea level. It is one of the most popular villages of Labëria, the largest of Kurvelesi province, both in terms of surface area and population.

During the Second World War Kuçi had a very significant impact in all of the nearby areas. The "World Peace Union" in Bologna, in 1999, declared it "Martyr Village", due to the many martyrs, heroes and personalities of history. Residents are known for being brave and progressive. The "Labërija Assembly" was held in Kuç and the Labs are very proud of it. The assembly has been very important because a series of rules were discussed and established in it, which prevented blood feuds, the marriage of children from the cradle, and significantly eased the position of women in society. Delegates from all Albanian territories, including Kosovo and Chameria, participated in the assembly.

Kuçi is surrounded by a “crown” of high mountains, which consist of limestone rocks. The mountains in the east are: Mount Papadhia, Mount Golem, Gjoshnikoshi, Shkage mountains, Shyt peak, Balchik, Zareli. In the north: Valthi, the top of Mureve, the top of Kunjova Pleshovica, which lie respectively in the north and east. To the west: Bogonica mountain, part of the Çika range. In the south: the mountain of Çorraj, the mountain of Shëndellia with the peak of Gjinik.

There is a vegetation dominated by Mediterranean-type shrubs such as: squina, strawberry tree, oak (fairy tale), myrtles, heather, Salvia fruticosa, thyme, sage, etc. There are also wild animals and birds such as: pig, rabbit, kunadhia, kukumjačka, sparrow, goshawk, etc. In the river of Shushica there are many: trout, while in the streams that flow into the river there are many carp and eel.

The area of Kuçi has numerous water assets, about 160 water sources, among which the springs of Lepushe and the springs of Kuçi stand out, one of the largest karst springs of southern Albania. In Kuch, generosity, pride and hospitality are raised in cult. When the guests are seated at the table, there is no shortage of brandy, toast, and the polyphonic song of Labe begins quietly and rises majestically and epically, like the surrounding mountains.
