The New Church of Shën Ilias is located 3.5 km from the village of Ilias and about 1 km from the village of Dhërmi. It is a church dedicated to Shën Ilias of Enna, born in Enna of Thessaloniki on August 17, 903. He is honored as a saint by the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Elia is also known as Saint Eliathe Younger, or Junior, to distinguish him from the biblical prophet Elia.

The Church celebrates the saint's day every August 17.
